While I’ve had variations of Rum Balls, my favourite is using Weetpix as the main ingredients. Our family prefers this recipe. Somehow, it tastes more wholesome, probably because Weetpix as a cereal would fill us up at breakfast before heading off to school. It is an easy recipe and one that I used to use at school with students, leading into Christmas.

Ingredients

• 10 Weetpix
• 1 tin of condensed milk
• 1 cup sultanas (chopped)
• 1/4 cup Rum for flavour (substitute for water if using at school)

Method

1. Crush Weetpix in a bowl.
2. Add chopped sultanas and mix.
3. Add Rum and mix.
4. Pour condensed milk and mix.
5. Roll into sticky balls.
6. Roll in coconut to finish. Place in fridge.
