Kids Swim in Rainforest Setting

The sun was shining and it wasn’t raining, so we bundled the kids in the car and took them to Lake Eacham, Crater Lakes National Park. What a fabulous location up on the Atherton Tablelands.

When family visit, I usually have a few local places to visit and one of them is a good swimming spot.

My nieces also agree with what it has to offer as per their website which boasts: ‘blue lake surrounded by cool rainforest… Lake Eacham offers swimming, birdwatching, canoeing, picnic areas and shady walking tracks. It is a popular recreation area for locals and visitors.’

  1. Looks like lots of fun! It’s still way too cold down here in Ballarat at the bottom of the country for swimming. Lots of my friends have gone up north for the school holidays, and from their FB posts it looks like they’re having a great (and warm) time.

  2. I can’t wait until the weather warms up here in Melbourne so we can all enjoy some outdoor /water activites. It’s still too cold here at the moment.
